2010 LR4 not shifting into Drive
After having my 2010 LR4 serviced at 65K , a week later I noticed shifting into D was an issue , after a few attempts it went into gear and it was suggested because I did not drive it for a week , the electronics needed to reset . Drove it for 3 or 4 days , no problem . Let it sit for a week , noticed again getting into D was spotty . After a week of that , now can't get it into D at all , it just springs back into neutral . When I could get it into D , it drove just fine ,, any thoughts ?
Thx

Sounds like a phony reason - not driving it shouldn't make any difference!
There is a mechanical linkage that joins the gear selector to the transmission. Ours (also a 2010) failed about a year ago. So we could put it in drive and go and the suddenly the engine would start revving and it was in N. And sometimes hard to get it into D to pull away at all
Dealer replaced that linkage (extended warranty) and it has been perfect since. Hopefully that's all it is - a lot cheaper than transmission issues...
