2011 lr4
Hello,
New user here. Been watching Land Rover's from afar for a long time. Very close to pulling the trigger on an LR4. The biggest benefit being the very large rear cargo area (when 3rd row is down).
Couple of quick questions.
1. Is NAV standard on all LR4's. Looks like it is, but some don't mention it.
2. How is the BT clarity? Very important to me in CA.
I'm actually very seriously considering an LR4 on the used car page of this forum. Any feedback on this specific vehicle? One owner...locally owed. Appears to be nothing but standard service. Still under warranty for a tad.

3. Lastly, what kind of extended warranties are people going with. Definitely a must for us.
A little more about me. I've had tons of cars but never a Land Rover. I take very good care of my vehicles and have never had a truly problematic car. Currently coming from a VW Passat Wagon which I loved but I need a bit more height in the rear cargo.
Truthfully, the car will see very little, if any, off road. I have really been enticed by the very comfortable ride (I love air suspension and have had it before) and large cargo area for a relatively small vehicle. Ride is also very quiet to many other cars that are much more expensive. I also have a Toyota Sequoia for my business which I used to make major haul runs in. Hoping to use the LR4 for smaller runs of goods (I make apparel) while also being able to get some work done in a comfortable environment.

Just saw your post. New here myself. Just bought a 2011 LR4 with 23,000 miles with 1 1/2 factory warranty and the used car dealer scared wife into and extended warranty for 25,000 miles. This is our 4th Land Rover the last was a Discovery 1 which the wife put 140,000 miles and drove for 14 yrs. Bought with 48,000 on it. I service and repair my own Rovers. 15 yrs. in Rovers and the 2011 has a Jag V8 which I have 49 yrs. experience. Problems do exist occasionally and theses vehicles have their quirks. Repairs are expensive. Buy a warranty that the dealer will work with and let local dealer know you now own vehicle for TSB catch ups and recalls if needed. Enjoy a fine vehicle. Wife was worried when I traded pick-up in on LR4. With seats down and middle seat folded it is 8 feet to tip of tailgate, just 44" wide not 48", makes a doable hauler. On trips at a constant 65, I get 18.5 mpg on computer, and 15 mpg average in and out of town, seen 12 mpg in heavy traffic.

Did you buy yet?
I just bought a 2011 with 25k mi and love it! It has a year left on warranty. I really wanted to buy from a dealer but they didn't have what I wanted. If you buy the car there, $3000 will get you a warranty up to 100,000 miles or 4 years.
I drive with care; lower speeds on the highways and no racing off the green lights and the mpg is better than 20!
