Once in December and again yesterday our LR4 revs up briefly while idling and then shuts down. In December it displayed these same codes but started normally the next day and has run fine until yesterday. My local shop is at a loss to figure this out. The car has also developed a battery drain that runs the battery down if not driven for two or three days. The battery is relatively new and test fine.

Yes, battery tested perfectly, 3 year old $550 Land Rover battery from the dealership. That’s a long story in itself. I’m taking it to the shop that works on my 83’ 308 and 90’ RR. They work on lots of Land Rovers including LR4s so I tend to agree, the codes are probably telling us what’s going on or at least where to start. The LR4 has 178,000 miles on it now so there’s no shame for it. A great car, my daughter loves it and so do I. Thanks for the reply!
