Default 2016 V6 LR4 oil change??

As title states it the 16 LR4 with the super charger, and I am looking to see if it’s possible to do oil change myself. All videos I see are of people vacuum pumping the oil out of the sump??

Yes, you can indeed perform the oil change yourself. The most popular way to remove the oil (which is what I do) is to use a hand operated Mityvac to remove the oil. Additionally you will need a 35mm filter wrench to remove the top of the oil filter housing. The tube for the Mityvac attaches to a siphon in the oil fill line that travels down into the sump. Its sounds complicated, but its by far the easiest of my 3 vehicles to change the oil.

The oil needs to 'vacuumed' out. (Doing it by hand with a mightyvac is hard core!! Doesn't take take forever?)

It's so easy, you'll wonder why it was never always like this. Do the entire change and your back never touches the floor. Get the Mityvac.
