5.0L V8 Timing chain guide upgrade
Does anyone know when Land Rover updated the timing chain guide on the LR4s with the 5.0L V8?
I have heard somewhere around ’12/’13.
I have a 12/11 manufacture date on a 2012 model. I am just wondering where I stand…

This TSB shows a VIN range that might help: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...04461-9340.pdf
However, I’ve seen posts that show some confusion on whether that was actually the end of the issue. My understanding is that the VIN range in this TSB likely relates when they redesigned the tensioner rails, which was the primary issue, but they might have later redesigned more parts of the system (oilers, tensioners, etc.).

The VIN range is a huge help! Thank you! ..except mine falls in that range, no issues, just was checking on it.
Do you have a good source for finding TSBs on this car or just google?
Your understanding seems logical based on the combination between the TSB acknowledging the problem and looking at the parts callouts :
· LR051008 – Tensioner – Appears to Discontinued.
· LR051013 – Guide - Appears to be the newest.

I don’t have a great source. NHTSA.gov has all manufacturer communications, so that’s a great site, but there is no way to search. You can plug in your VIN and get all of them for your car categorized by area (electrical, engine, etc.), and you can pull and download copies. But, for searching, I just generally use google.
