New member here. I just bought a 2011 LR4 HSE and need to tow a 4500-lb. travel trailer. Do I need to install a brake controller? Is there an easy wiring plug-in under steering wheel? Any recommendations for make/model of brake controller?

Yes... you need a brake controller. If you get the right one it should come with a small wiring adapter that plugs in under your dash.
