Hi. I’d really appreciate any advice with this.

I’m trying to change the alternator on a 2010 Discovery LR4 3.0 TDV6 XS.

I’ve got as far as removing the two panels underneath, slackening the belt and removing the main 3 bolts on the alternator. But now there’s no way I can get to the electrical connections or get the unit out.

I’ve watched a few youtube videos and theirs just drops out but I have a whole load of pipe in the way that they don't have.
Please can anyone help me with the next step?
