Hi - what do you typically pay for a brake job on an LR4? The low brakes warning has come on - front pads (and likely rotors) need replacement. Would love a view on price

When we had the tears done last year (car was at the dealer for something else) it was surprisingly expensive. I assume it's a pretty straightforward job for a local Indy?

I replaced pads at 23K as PO declined new brakes at dealer for $1500. I only did pads and sensors for $300. I warning light is on be aware it may now need dealer reset. Did the brakes myself.

 

Better learn to do them yourself, or you'll go broke trying to maintain that truck. For what it is worth, you don't always have to replace the rotors, just measure them first. Also, don't forget to flush your brake fluid for a stronger pedal.

I replaced all pads and rotors (EBC front and rear) with a very high quality product for $535 (parts cost, since I did it myself). Original rotors must've been warped because the truck would vibrate when braking hard.
