Default High beam problem

Hi Everyone, I have a discovery 4/ LR4 HSE with the cornering lights option. Recently I have had a fault which is that the high beam flash works, but the high beam switch doesn't work and the cornering lights are also not working.
Has anyone got a simple fix or explanation for this?

Thanks

Grab your drivers manual and find the fuse. Also check the ground.

If this was a much older vehicle I would suggest that there is a bad solder joint in the multi-function switch.

Many thanks for that. At the risk of exposing myself as a dumbo, I discovered that there was a very simple fix - turn my lights on! I have daytime running lights which are essentially headlights (not just the LED), and so at night I assumed my lights were on. They weren't which meant the high beam flashed but wouldn't turn on, and the covering lights didn't work either.

Then you need to put the lights in Auto Mode.
