Default How to jack up LR4

I'm looking for the easiest way to jack up my LR4 to eg swap summer to winter wheels, put the spare on etc. I know there is a factory jack in the back for emergency use - doesn't seem sturdy and its slow. Any suggestions? And what the best Jack points are?

I have a floor Jack that can lift to 14inch but may not be enough? I've read lots online with general suggestions (put suspension to off-road and Jack it up etc) but little discussion on what Jack is best and where to use it

pull the EAS fuses for sure. I don't know which ones they are on the D4 but on the D3 they are F26E, you can alternately pull F35P for good measure.

a floor jack with good travel should be enough, jack up the frame at the spots indicated by the owners manual and put it on stands.

Thanks everyone. Yes - it needs a floor Jack with good height of lift. My standard one was several inches too short (there is a lot of travel in the suspension when lifted!) but a higher 'suv' one works fine
Same for axle stands - they need to be quite tall

Picking up a floor jack... How much lift is required?

honestly as much as you can get. The suspension travel is insane on a jack.

It will be half way up a hilift bar before the tires leave the ground.

I bought a Torin SUV service Jack. 3 tons of lifting capability. And it has an suv adaptor that's an extra piece which adds about 4 inches to the lifting height which seems to be very valuable for the Land Rover
Was about 64dollars on Amazon

I bought the 4-ton jack from Harbor Freight and the added piece that spreads 4' across and adjusts to the frame. 10 pumps and wheels are free. Can put on lower arms in front and lift both fronts too. Made sure it was a strong jack as I have seen too many fail on the heavy Rovers.
