Just purchased a 2016 LR4 Landmark - currently has 97K miles but hoping to get another 50K out of it to reduce my mileage anxiety on my 2023 P400X Defender.

The ride quality is a little 'wallowy' but figured this is the difference between a brand new Defender and an 8 year old Discovery - if not, its going to my dealer for a full service/check up this week.

Needs a little paint correction and interior steam clean, and the diamond cut 20" rims are being installed tomorrow too. A few little upgrade accessories and it should be ready for the late summer/fall road trips.

97,500 miles on my 2016 LR4 Landmark. Just took it into my dealer for a service and was pleasantly surprised to find out it has been meticulously maintained by its one previous owner from new. New fluids, two new wiper blades and its good as new. I did initially buy this as a run around until my new OCTA arrives in February but I think she's now become a keeper!

Default 2012 LR4 116k

Second owner on this one. Been a great ride. Love it honestly. My pocketbook, however, does not.

As I type this it’s in the shop for the second time in under 30 days. This time full transmission failure with no warning. Last month I replaced steering rack, harmonic balancer, cv joints, power steering pump, serpentine belt. Cost: $5k. Tranny will cost another $6700. Still love the car. Hoping it will last another year at least.

105k miles on our 2016. had 120k on our LR3 before we traded for this. love both of them. LR3 was bullet proof. LR4 had to replace the coolant crossover, tstat, blown radiator, fuel pump, o2 sensor, failed shifter ****. i was annoyed with it but once i started doing all my own work on it we've come to a good understanding of each other will become the kids car so hope it lasts at least another 50k miles.

question is what to get after this. Disco 5 is meh. im trying to like it but i dont think there is a better looking disco than the 2016 LR4.

What year is that one?
And ummm, how does that radar detector work for you? It's a discreet install.

It would be interesting to see if the OP still has his LR4 and what the mileage might be!

I picked up a 2016 LR4 last month that I first looked at on Christmas day. Previously (during the pandemic) I owned a 2022 Defender 90 that I ordered which was my first JLR vehicle. I'd have to say that was a lemon, I got out of it and traded it in for a new 2022 Passport Trailsport. Sold the Passport to carmax, excellent car but wanted to get into a lower payment still. Anyway, I always wanted an LR4 so this is pretty exciting for me but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. Maybe I'll be lucky, I'd love to get 5 or 6 good years out of it. It has 117,000 miles on it now. The dealership allegedly put about $8,000 pre-sales repair work into it and itemized it for me. Time will tell. I actually prefer the look and the design of it a bit more than the Defender. Defender looks cool too though, no disrespect intended there.
