items shifting on cargo mat

items shifting on cargo mat
Does anyone have a solution to this?
In the rear of my 2011 LR4 HSE LUX, the rubber cargo mat lets items roll around and shift while driving. There are "dams" that work on carpet that I've used in other cars and vans, but they grip the carpet. I splurged on the rubber cargo mat, and it is easily cleaned of dog hair, etc., but it's frustrating to have the things in the back shift all over. Is there some sort of small (or large) "dams" that could be pierced into the rubber by the side of the items, and thus not let them shift all over? I have bought some rubber tape (the type people use to fill gaps between airconditioners and windows), which I'm going to try to put on the bottom of some of the containers, and hope they stick to the rubber mat.
Any better suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

There are probably already a few metal loops to tie stuff down to in the back. At least I know there are on the LR3. That's why I like the net idea. Just pile you cargo in, toss the net over and hook it to the loops.
