On my 08, I pulled the liner away and reached up to unhook the old sensor and put in the new. Wasn't hard but tore the crap out of my wrist. I like the idea of chopping the wire and splicing in the new one.

Takes just as long to cut and splice as to take inner fender loose and reach the connector. You would really have to seal the splice to prevent water invasion.

2010 LR4 HSE, Right Front, I took a few of the pins out of the plastic fender/splash guard and carefully flexed enough to gain access to the sensor connector. Be sure to tuck the new one back behind, then just reinsert the pins. The wires are thin, don't Pull om it.

2010 LR4 HSE. Do I have to put the Electronic Parking Break, EPB in Service mode to change the Rotors / Drum and shoes? Is there a way to do this manually or do I need diagnostic software?

Just replace my brakes, did not do anything to electronics, just did not turn them on. Was amazed that the electronic brake liners were good, compared to the stories I heard of others at 60K miles.

Put on EBC heavy duty orange with slotted dimpled rotors about a year ago. Wonderful. They do a great job under all conditions. I purchased the 3 year warranty so off-road is no problem. OEM was worthless and only lasted 18 k miles. Have about 20k on the EBC and cannot detect much ware.

Purchased and installed by 4wheelparts on Federal in Westminster Co. Check at 4wheelparts.com in your area. Pricing was good also.
