LR4 Hood Release cable broken at cable junction
2013 LR4-
I've seen threads that address broken hood release cable at the release lever in the cabin.
Mine has broken at the junction of the 2 cables under the hood.
I was able to grab the cable on the right - passenger side and pop that latch and secure the cable and then grab the driver side of that same cable and secure that.
I can't get the cable that runs to the firewall and into the cabin, this is the cable that releases the left (driver) side hood latch.
Is there a way to remove the wheel well cover and approach from there?
Dealership answer was - "Start removing body panels and go from there"
Indie shops won't touch it.
It's in a body shop now for an unrelated door and tree argument, and they are looking at it- but it's more than week and no go so far.
If anybody has any ideas or can provide any help at all, I'd be eternally grateful!
Other wise I'm breaking out the cutting wheel and getting medieval.
Please help!
