Default LR4 and an iPod

Have an LR3 not an LR4 but I am curious about iPod integration. Info that I find is limited to later model years, 2012+. Seems iPod integration is on screen, etc. So pretty integrated and what I am looking for. But I cant find any information about 10-11 model years. The nav screen units are a little different so I am not sure what capabilities they have when it comes to iPod integration, if any. So really I am just looking for confirmation on the 10-11 models years having or not having iPod integration ability. And yes, I know it will be the older 30-pin connection but one can toss a bluetooth dingle on the cable end for a more up-to-date physical interface.

We have a 2011 LR4 and tried several different things before buying a Bovee 1000 with cable from Amazon for around $100. I have been using it for over a year now without issues. We were unable to find any ipod integration otherwise.

So what you are a saying is if an iPod is not connected nothing will display on the screen, not even an placeholder for it? Cause that is sorta what I am asking and I already mentioned the BT dongle.

So does anyone use an iPod anymore with the LR4? Still curious if there is a placeholder or not on the display for it when nothing is attached.

I'm using an iPod. I purchased an LR to 30 pin cable a while back. It works fine for me, and my iPod is OLD school. (spinny wheel version)..lol

All my songs show up on my LR screen and I can search, skip, genre, etc. and it charges my iPod also

I then later got the Bovee with 30 pin connection and use that when I want to hear my phone music thru Bluetooth
