@Pwd3 , I have learned that only the build sheet from topix is a suitable source for information about a specific vehicle.

This is very helpful. I am just starting to look for a used LR4 (my first land rover). Thanks for doing this.
I need all the help I can find.

If you can... source your used LR4 from a LR Dealer. There are checks they have to perform. (And they can write off repairs and accessories$$$)
Also, if you ask politely, have them run the VIN and report on the maintenance done, and at what intervals.

Roger that, I am not in a hurry, I plan to take my time to get something I want. Thanks for the advice.

THey will fix only what they have to. Not many are sold thro dealers as an old car now. The recommended service intervals too long too.
The NAV/entertainment/features, functionality quite different across years too.

You should always do your due diligence. It took me over 6 mths to find a good 2013 V8.

So I am starting my search for a LR4, I am located in the Brooklyn, NY Area and would like to see if there is anyone that I could get in touch with to check out a potential purchase for me, I have minor experience with Land Rovers, I owned a Discovery II for several years, but not super up to speed with issues to look for and would rather have a trained eye on it.

Is there anything else I should know, its it common to take the vehicle to a shop or would someone meet me at the Sellers place to check it out or test drive with me?
