LR4 Wheel Offset Questions
Hello All, I know alot of my following questions have been answered numerous times in this forum, so I apologize. But, I need some feedback from those of you who have run different wheel offsets and tire combos as it relates to clearance. I have a '16 LR4 with the stock 19in wheels with Cooper Zeon LTZ's that are nearing the end of their life. I love the look of a 20 inch wheel with a slightly larger tire with an aggressive sidewall. I want to fill up the wheel wells a bit more in normal ride height mode. The redbourne wheel offset is 35 and the wheel is an inch wider than stock which would give the truck a wider stance (which would also provide better handling in the turns- I do alot of curvy mtn driving) I know the redbourne 20 works well clearance-wise with the nitto terra grappler 265-50-20. The redbournes are pricey, so I am looking at some other used or refurbished RR sport HSE wheels in 53 and 45mm offsets. Have any of you run a 265-50-20 tire with these wheel offsets with no rubbing? Also, is there an adjustable type johnson rod device that would allow for just enough clearance for a tire a size or two larger than stock without raising normal ride height 2 inches? Lastly, the coopers are a little noisey on the highway. How does the terra grappler do comparatively? Any other aggressive looking tires I should consider that ride ok on the highway? Thanks for your help! Kirk

Last November I put a set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on my '10 LR4 with stock 19in wheels and I am a big fan. Great traction and looks, with no more noise than the less aggressive Hankook Dynapro ATMs that I have on my F-150.
I also think Johnson has come out with 1.5" rods.
