First time ever a few days ago, now happened 3 separate occasions, come and goes. Front centre of engine, sounds like a pulley perhaps? I've a video with the sound buy for some reason I can not add attachments here.

 

Land Rover technician believed it was the viscous fan clutch. New fan and accessory tensioner fitted (old tensioner had some play from wear).

We'll see what happens.
