Question Perspective LR4 owner

Hi all... Though I don't currently own a LR4, I'm finishing my research and preparing to purchase one but have a couple of questions:

1) When will the 2013 models be available? I was at the dealer this past weekend and the sales manager indicated this coming Wed was the last day to order a 2012.

2) For those who use the iPod connection, does the screen show more than just the disk/track number (i.e. song name, artist, etc)?

3) For those with the HD package, would you buy it again if you purchased a new LR4?

4) 19" vs 20" wheels... what are the pro/con of the larger tires?

Thanks for assisting a soon-to-be LR4 owner,
Mike

Angry My 2010 LR4

First off, good luck!

As an owner of a brand new 2010 (LR4, White, HSE Pkge), i have had nothing but electrical problems with this thing. To be fair, we LOVE the way the truck drives, looks and even handles. But it has been to the shop 6 times! for the same issue i.e. Check engine/Gas cap. Each time the dealer tells us it will be our last because it is fixed,. that ends up never being the case. Its so often we take it back that they give us a loaner with less than 100/miles on the 2012 model just to keep us happy,. Which, we are not. It has become a love hate relationship with this company. We love the vehicle, but not the frequent problems. Im starting to think they should get rid of the Tech's because they are clueless. That or they just keep reseting the PC Board and thinking that will solve the problem. AHHHHHHHHHH!

Hey there,

I am about to trade in my 2010 LR4 for a RR. To answer questions 3:Yes, I would! It is VERY nice. #4: Depends on what you plan to do with it. 19 for just city/little offroad 20 for Big Offroad.

LR or RR Are the best SUV in the Market but you will face only one problem , Service at your Local Dealer , I have to drive two hours to get it serviced , and it ok service compare to Lexus or MB or BMW .
service -SERVICE - service , They need to improve in that ...

We have the HD package and have watched others struggle offload without it. I wouldn't buy one without the HD package. If you offload both wheels are really too low profile but at least the 19" gives you a little more sidewall. The 20's are for street only IMO

I bought my wife a 2011 and it has been fantastic! It is the absolute best ride of any vehicle I have ever owned. We did not go for the HD as we just will not find ourselves doing any serious off-roading. We had a nagging problem which the dealer made right - all is well.

2. no
3. yes if we planned to go off-road
4. I have no issues with the 19"

We have a 2010 LR4 and love it. We have a Lux Plus which I think came with everything except for the rear entertainment system and has the HD package. The only problem we had with it her was with the camera system. We have the 5 camera system and would have multiple cameras out. Went to the shop several times and Land Rover Corporate finally found the fix and we've been problem free since then. This seemed to be a common problem with at least the 2010's.

2) our iPod system shows song title and allows you to cycle through title, album and artist. It will even connect to our iPad when needed.

3) Yes

4) We have the 19" wheels. I thought they would be better than the 20" because of having more sidewall on the tire. I also do not like the looks of big rims and street tires on a truck. That being said, tire selection on the 19" wheels is very limited. Great choices for street tires, but, off-road tires....notsomuch.
