Default Slight vibration/noise during acceleration

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2010 lr4 with 26,000 miles. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I noticed a slight rumble or vibration on the steering wheel along with a slight rumble noise only during acceleration. It is more pronounced with more aggressive accelerations and/or turning. I drove another used 2010 lr4 (same miles) and noticed the same vibration/sound, but it does not occur nearly as much as mine. I also had a chance to drive a new 2013 lr4. Although the new lr4 drove almost perfect, I did notice the vibration/noise on one occasion after driving it for a few hours. The only reason I was able to detect it was because I was looking for it.
I took my 2010 lr4 to a landrover dealer to troubleshoot the issue. They said the vibration/noise was the front differential and that ALL lr4's AND range rovers did it. They also said it will become more pronounced as the car "Wears in". Has anyone else noticed this during acceleration? I really like the lr4, but this issue is driving me absolutely crazy and ruining my lr4 experience. Is there anything I can do? Help

Thanks in Advance,
Jon

Update - There are actually two issues causing the vibration. The first issue is the noise the dealer says is common to all lr4's and range rovers. The second was a really bad vibration when rpm's are between 2600-2800. There is a technical service bulletin for the second issue. The TSB solution is a damper install, which is supposed to stop the vibration. I had the dealer install the damper and it helped. It did not completely resolve the issue, but it is better.

glad to know that the damper helped! The sound and vibration is actually a common problem. A friend of mine has a LR4 and he has the exact same complaints.

Technical Bulletin No: LTB00305 (issue 1) dated 13 Aug. 2010
Section: 308 Audible Boom / Vibration @ 2,600 - 2,800 rpm

I don't have the link. Here is the link to the thread I found the damper solution - Steering Wheel Noise? - Land Rover and Range Rover Forums

Read the posts by Franky. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the late update, but they did the damper upgrade and it cleaned up I would say 80% of the vibration.. whatever is left is tolerable

Most all time 4X4s will have this vibration due to the specific cuffing of the tyres. When the tyres are rotated, it will resume but after all tyres are rotated and run, most vibes will almost disappear except while turning ( like in parking lots, driveway ) due to the scuffing action of the 4X4.

Thanks for the response Jagfixer. I can assure you the vibration noise I reported is not related to the tires. I have since replaced the tires and there was zero difference. I have experienced the tire rumble you are referring to with other cars and tires.
