Default Spare electrical plug

There is a plastic plug on the right hand side of the dash in our 2013 LR4 HSE. When the door is closed it is covered. I pulled the plug out of the hole and discovered that it was also the holder for an extra electrical plug that is green. I’m assuming it is for some accessory that our vehicle doesn’t have. Can anyone tell me what it is for?

Do you have a pic of the plugs that you’re referring to. It helps a lot

I have the same, I'll check in the electrical documentation that I have and get back to you.

Gives me something to think about on the school run tomorrow

Stuart.

Default Possible answer

I lucked out and found a diagram that showed that something in the same area as that plug. It was marked as 14b377. I did several searches for that number and got nowhere. I found a drawing that was clear enough so that I could see it was some kind of two place switch, like On and Off.

I also saw some diagrams that showed an airbag on off switch. I did a search for LR4 airbag switch location and found a video that showed such a switch in the same place as my mystery plug. That must be what it is for.
