Spot and floodlight installation

Spot and floodlight installation
Recently bought 2011 LR4 HSE Lux. Installed Forerunner roof rack system including ladder (which I love).
Travel to cabin very often at night on highways with record number of moose accidents. Have specified additional LED lighting (spot and flood) that will mount on the roof rack with hardware I already purchased (installs neatly in front of the racks leading edge).
Problem: I have been trying to source information on installation of secondary lighting wrt to routing wires, tying into electrical system, LR switching for this light neatly into dash, etc. I am quite surprised to find nothing on these specific topics. Am I looking just looking in the wrong direction? I would get the local shop to do, but I suspect they have not done any of these installations before and send this work out. I at least want to know how it is done before getting it done. I would like not to have none LR switches. I would prefer to have them activated by the high beam switch (including the auto high beam).
Advice?
Thx
