Tire advice
I have a 2011 LR4 with 19’s running 255/50 scorpions . I drive it a lot to ski but do not need dedicated winter tires. Willing to swap out rims given limited options for 19 inches. I’d like to explore something like the BFG ko2 (love them on a jeep (sorry) I have).
Any advice is welcomed on tires and sizing that won’t require any mods to the truck. Also any thoughts on reasonably priced new rims if I go up/down in size. Thx.

I have been really happy with my Cooper Zeon LTZs. 255/55/19 if I recall (stock size for 19"). They are not very noisy and dont seem to affect fuel economy any measurable amount. Excellent in snow. I use them year round.
Unfortunately the Cooper Zeon LTZs are no longer an option in 19". I found this out last year while shopping for tires. That's when I put on a set of Goodyear Duratracs and they have been great. Tons of grip, I never slip on my snow covered dirt road or steep driveway. As a comparison, my pickup has much less aggressive Hankook Dynapro ATMs and I had to engage the rear locker to get up my driveway because I was loosing traction last winter. My wife driving the LR4 came home 15min after me and went up it like any other day.
