Traction control issues with new 33"'s
Installed new 33"s, upgraded from 32"s. Prior was Nitto Terra Grapler, new is Nitto Recon Grapler. The recon's have a slightly more aggressive tread, but all in all, they are supposed to be similar -- the Terra's were discontinued and the Recon's are their replacement.
All that said, very noticeable increase in traction control engagement moving to the new tires. Typically around corners when even just slightly wet. Sometimes I feel the truck skid a bit before it kicks in, other times I feel like its just kicking in for the heck of it.
The new tires aren't much weight difference than the 32"s, still around 45-50 lb's each. It could be the new tread just is poor in wet.. but is there any experience out there that moving to larger tires triggers traction control more often?
Thanks!

Traction control on the LR4 is very quiet unlike say a Toyota. Are you positive it's "traction control kicking in"? Given that you're experiencing something on corners when wet, it sounds like it could be more likely the tires sticking and letting go as you turn. Maybe leave the 4x4 info window up on the display and see if the TC is really truly kicking in.
Thanks for the reply Troyan -
What I'm seeing when it happens is the yellow 'traction' light coming on in the dash cluster (just comes on for a second or two as TC engages); and clear feeling of the truck's TC system applying the brake automatically to one of the front wheels to stop the slipping.
The reality is that I do feel a greater loss of traction in wet with these new tires.. it just seems strange that given the positive reviews on them that they are that dramatically different than my 32" terra grapplers.. so I'm doing a bit of wondering if the larger tires themselves are somehow causing the truck to dive into corners a bit harder and lose traction?
