Default Video in motion and rear entertainment system

There aren't to many postings on this so I thought I would share. I have a 2016 LR4 which did't come with the rear entertainment, and when I asked the dealership they said I had no choice but to go aftermarket.

I installed Vizualogic tablets and then a CRUX VIM unit.

There are three viewing scenarios.

1. The crux unit allows video in motion and a redirect to allow the front passenger to see what is playing in the rear.

2. Front passenger can watch something over the stereo and the others can watch the same movie in the back.

3. Everyone watches something different.

This is great for the long road trips. I have to give the credit to the guys at Midcity Engineering here in Chicago as they spent a week making sure everything worked well and was clean and looked OEM. They typically specialize only in Mercedes Benz, but after this they can deal with all land rovers.

I'll post pictures tonight.

To confirm, you're selecting video on your head unit and playing it on the aftermarket rear screens?
My wife and I have been fighting this very scenario in our 2011 LR4. Super frustrating as the kids in the back are too young to be able to select their own movies. (for now)

Yes it can be done either way. I actually have it from the back to the front because I have tablets in the back that can stream hulu or netflix.
