Default What do I use to lubricate door seals?

Not that I am planing to venture into the cold anytime soon but.......I am using the Land Rover Discovery 4 Maintenance Check Sheet for my 2014 V6 SC HSE and at item 21 on the "B" service it states

"Apply lubricant to door seals- Russian and Nordic markets only"

As this is a NAS car here in Texas, I don't qualify for that per se, but it does raise a question that IF I wanted to lubricate the door seals (more so on my LR3 than this one, since it likes to go swimming once or twice a year)
What would I use that would not hurt the rubber.

Jeff

I always smear a little bit of Vaseline on mine in the fall to stop them getting frozen stuck in the winter, lasted for almost 10yrs.

I had a Corvette a few years ago. I was told Nothing with petroleum in it...Like Vaseliine. Only Dilectric grease...BUT...I learned you can buy a big tube of Aquafor at Wal mart for less than 10 bucks...Same stuff as Dilectric but 1/10th the cost. The Corvette seals are expensive and it was recommended to do them 2X year.

They are not the same, not by a long shot. Dielectric grease is a silicone based product. Aquaphor is petroleum based that will attract moisture: Active ingredient: Petrolatum (41%) – Skin protectant - Inactive ingredients: Mineral Oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alcohol, Panthenol, Glycerin, Bisabolol

Turns out there are quite a few products that claim to be for this very problem. They seem to be water based, or list vegetable oil as an ingredient.I went with a brand called 303 seal protector.

Thanks for the input and advice.
