Engine is giving up (misfires) and I'm looking for somebody with experience to rebuild or swap a used engine into my 2002 Discovery II.

Before you swap the engine, Find a a good Land Rover mechanic to check the two coil packs on the back side of the motor. It may be an easy fix.
If the truck overheating then a sleeve may have slide or is coming a lose in one of the cylinders. I have a 2002 Landrover for sale on this website for $16999... I had a engine block built by Turner engineering in the UK.
It was shipped to America and my Land Rover mechanic resurface the heads and rebuilt and installed. I have to be honest here and tell you once the new engine went into the D2, I ended up replacing almost everything under the hood. got 176,000 out of my original engine, but most do not make it to 100K.
