Description:

My oil pump detonated and cracked the front cover, so my Disco sits in limbo. I do not have the facility to swap the motor myself so at this point if someone who can do it themselves and/or has a good motor wants it, this is a great platform. Make an offer.  I am having a hard time justifying $12k of motor (AB) and labor (since I can't do the work), but may have to go that route if I can't sell as is, and it doesn't deserve to be scrapped.  It was an inland FL (Orlando) car until 5 years ago, very clean, no serious rust, everything working other than the motor. HSE, no 3rd row seats. Extensive service records (many of which no longer matter). Recent work: tires (Falken wildpeak +1), Frontrunner rack, rear ladder, new front driveshaft. Tons of work done by PO in 2018-19. These include new headliner (black), 3 amigos fixed, along with the following: swaybar links, front and rear shocks terrafirma, master cylinder, coils, sunroof repair (all work, no leaking), Power steering pump, 02 sensor, rear bumper (steel),  Water pump, front upper/lower ball joints (~93000mi)
Oct-18 Transmission filter/service
Oct-18 Transfer case output seal, adjust cable, free stuck fork
Sep-18 Throttlebody ice plate
Sep-18 rear prop shaft Guibo
Sep-18 Hose/thermostat kit
Apr-17 Rear suspension air bags
I had a full inspection by J White post-detonation, and can pass on their evaluation.
I can get more photos or vids if I have anyone seriously interested (it's still at mechanic 45 mins from me).

Photos of the frame, specifically the area between the axle and the rear bumper would be helpful.

I agree - I will need to take a trip up there to the mechanic to grab these as I don't believe I have any (was not planning to sell any time soon!). I can say the frame is rock solid but I know pics are needed. Will see what I can do.

I do have this short vid of the front cover crack- doesn't show the frame well but you can see bits of the underside. https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/t...ebf7213e77.mp4

Well, if you're getting pics of the frame you may as well take the full compliment. It will only help your case. I'm saying that as an interested party.

No kidding! That's wild, and rather uncommon to say the least. I'm 30 from the end of the run, 2875335. Surprised we haven't met. I'm in New England frequently.
