Word on the message boards has historically been that there were only about 100-ish 5 speeds in the last year they brought them here. I’ve been daily driving 5 speeds since the first had a factory warranty. This has a build date of 12/96 and in years of actively looking I’ve only found 4 that had newer build dates, and two of those had been parted. Basically this is one of the last 10 manuals Land Rover ever brought to the U.S. its one of the zero option vehicles with grey cloth manual interior and no sunroofs. it’s unmolested but it’s rotten. It would require significant rust repair, and while I’d love to see it put back straight simply because it’s a cool truck, but realistically I assume someone would be interested in the r380 trans, all the associated manual specific parts( console, pedal assembly, radiator etc etc and/or the pretty rare grey cloth interior. Kinda one stop shopping for a manual swap here on a rust free vehicle.
