Hi Bball james, i got the cdl installed and buttoned things back up. I might open the console up over christmas if i have the time to see if i can get my cdl light to show up. I cant seem to find a cdl detection switch on the usual rover parts websites. Where did you get yours? Also, any tips on removing the switch...i took a stab at it the other day but was fearful of breaking it, not knowing how to release the switch and all. Does it pull right out or do you have to depress clips somewhere. Thanks for your help on this!

Hi Bballjames -- I am getting ready to install the 04 CDL this weekend...did you end up swapping out the plate? I saw an old thread where you asked the question but it didn't seem you got a straight answer. Also, did you end up using sheet metal screws in place of the rivets? How is that working out? Thanks!

My Hawkeye coming from England is on its way. My 2004 SE Discovery II I recently bought, came with only "dumb" steel key, so I will be buying a new electronic transmitter key that will need to be programmed to my Discover. You mentioned, I think, that Hawkeye will do that. Do I need to go to dealer only to get blank electronic key? Can I use Hawkeye to program key for my vehicle, and if so, can you give me any pointers as to how to begin the process? Thanks so much for your time.

Thanks for information regarding your buying Hawkeye shipped from England. Your supplier was one of two I had chosen to possibly buy from, so yesterday, I bought one from your supplier too. I understand that a book of some sort is available, to look up fault codes in, for Hawkeye, but suspect it is expensive. Do you know anything about such a book? How do you look up your fault codes for meaning? If you have used your Hawkeye now much, how do you like it? Thanks again for everything, Jack
