Default 01 Disco 2 Roof Rack

So i'm jealous as all hell seeing everyone with their cool *** DIY Racks how much would one of you charge to make something like that for my Disco id pay for shipping or maybe come to you i live in upstate NY. I realize its DIY but i dont want to buy all the equipment only to use it a few times and i feel like if someone made it for me with the proper knowledge it would honestly be better than those crazy ones on the net.

I can help. Check this listing here on eBay. I cut and bend all the pieces and ship them to you. You find someone with a welder and give him a case of beer. End result... coolest rack on the market.

Jean,

I am interested in our roof rack. Does your roof rack allow both sun roofs to open?

Jean why dont you make a business out of this? Make and complete the racks and sell them to people? The original poster lives in upstate NY which is not to to far from you. Maybe you guys could meet at the border or something. Or he can pay shipping. Might be a good way to bring in some extra funding for the trip to AK.

You can open the front sun roof no problem.

If you want the back one to open, just add taller supports (square blocks that sit in the gutter until it fits just the way you like it.

Piece of cake

Jean

ps. Thanks guys, I sold 5 kits already (only been selling for a week). I've asked that they send me photos when they have finished installing their racks. I'll post them here.

I'm also working on a new product... I'll keep you posted. First prototype should be ready this Thursday !!

Jean, what's the material you're using?

OP beware of certain homemade setups. They use poor materials, ie. I see many use EMT/galvanized tubing. Not exactly recommended for welding but it's certainly cheap.
