Default 4.3 v8 l99

After slowly diagnosing my engine problems (not finished yet) I'm considering all my options and thinking towards the future. What would it take to make the Chevy 4.3 V8 L99 work in our cars, particularly a Disco I? Could it bolt up to the stock AUTO tranny (L99 has 200 hp and 230 tq)? I understand the wiring would be a mission but what if I converted it to a carburetor setup instead and in the future add one of those carb-efi kits? I don't understand Marks 4x4 because the website doesn't seem to have an adapter for the stock tranny.

Does anyone know if this man is on the forum:

There was a pretty big discussion about this a few years ago on here and I think this guy was part of it.

All you'll ever want to know about dropping an LS into a Defender, RRC, or Disco 1.

I think this is way more than I can handle. Fixing the stock engine it is.
