Baja roof rack, no factory rails

Baja roof rack, no factory rails
I am thinking of installing Baja standard roof rack on my LR4. I do not have factory rails and Baja offers a kit to install the rack, but I am concerned if that would require any drilling in the roof and potentially effect water drainage and void warranty. Does anyone has any experience with that ?
