Fender Flares...Looking Good as New!
After owning my Disco for a few years, the fender flares were starting to fade and pit pretty bad. Mother's Back to Black wasn't doing the job any more. I decided to sand down and spray them to give my truck a cleaner look. I also did the front grill as well. Thank you to all the members who created the DIY threads. They were very helpful in helping me with the project and I'm proud of the way things came out!
Time: It took me about 4 hrs total to do.
Supplies: Black Dupli-color Sandable Primer, Black Dupli-Color Bumper Coating, 200 Grit Sand paper (for getting rid of the pits), and 400 Grit Sand paper (for giving it a smooth finish), masking tape, newspaper, and a 6 pack (optional but encouraged)

Yeah, after I sanded down the fender flares and cleaned them, I sprayed it with the sandable primer. It filled in some of the pits that I might have missed, and I then sanded that down with the 400 grit if it was textured at all (I only did that for one fender. All the others looked fine). After a few coats of the primer, it should look pretty smooth and be ready for the bumper coating. Hope that helps!
