I like the curved one for aesthetics. I don't think either will actually prevent anything that your bumper or main brush bars wouldn't.

I like the curved option also. I wish I had the tools and supplies to build stuff like that. I really want a custom bumper for my ride.

I have to agree with the curved one. It fits the design of the headlight better.

Don't think you could go wrong either way, but given a choice I'd go for the curved one. Just a little something different. And sounds like that's what you're leaning towards anyway. Nice work.

I think no bar will you be able to pull your lights out with bar in ? Does that top bar affect your light pattern ? Other than that looks great Just sain Blamo

thanks all,for the input. put a couple coats on the finished product, last night. I will finish finish today and slap it on.
glad I posted this, because my first thought was to go with the straight bar and the curved one was busy and less rugged-looking.
but the all the opinions made it easier to decide......not one girly-looking comment

Well now at you mention it my gf wants you to make me one. She said the curved bar there made it "super cute" and "it'd be much prettier painted pink".

I'm just kiddin. I think it looks awesome and as far as homemade goes it's probably in the top 3 I've seen over the past few years. Great job and I'm ready to see that dude mounted up.

well here it be. I can already tell that this will not be the final attempt. I like the design, but think I should have angled the main bar out more and the lower main bar less angle. I do like the little curved under light bars, though. I will wear it a while and see if it grows on me.
so thanks all.

next up the rear. my dash light keeps reminding me with the two arrows pointing at it.
