Yes and yes. I will never pay for bd, rigid, or the likes, when I can get a light that is just as good and in comparable housings and same hardware at a fraction of the cost.

I just looked to for the name of eBay and amazon companies I have purchased from.....no luck, but I look at for lowest price and then check out specs on housing materials.

My china front light bar has held up better than the rigid it replaced......same great light output (if not , I can't tell)

I've got a cheapy china light bar on my Sd rack and it is bright. It's a 40"double row 14000 lumen light bar spot/flood combo, it comes out mostly flood. I love it, I bought it when this amazon dealer started and I payed $350 for it. 40 Inch LED Light Bar DR 14,400 Lumens:Amazon:Automotive
This is it, I'm thinking about getting another one for the hell of it, throw it on the back or underneath the from one. I'll snag a pic of the brightness tonight. It literally lights up a field. Name: 71E28CFC-FFBF-48E3-BFB4-138185B4F7FE.jpg

Btw you can scare the crap out of the d-bag that decides to cut you off or is just being a jerk and trying to **** you off by driving too slow. Few flashes and he's quivering...

So what's better on the SD rack 1 long bar or 4 smaller lights with the led setup?

I've seen both. But I'm not much help considering both guys loved their respective set-ups. You have the directional ability with the four individual but with one light you can get consistent beam pattern and better looks, in my opinion

the cheap china stuff is blue-er than white. i have two LED bars.. a 12" cheapo model and a 42" top of the line from olympus off road. the 12" is WAY more "purple" than my 42." i painted the 12" amber (bc i wanted amber for down low) and it took a few extra coats to not have it green bc the blue bled through.

the china stuff is cheap as hell, but what happens when 2 years down the road when half of it stops working? you are SOL. if you buy a trailworthyfab, olympus, whatever pirate4x4 vendor brand light you have a warranty for that. mr. wongching in hongkong doesnt care.

oh ya, with the pirate discount, the 42" bar is like $450 and the 12" is under $100. i got a deeper discount bc my buddy works for them but they arent budget breaking prices even without any discount.

Default bar

so speakng of cheapie, just bought a 41" 240 watt 17,600 lumin light bar from sclights_au on Ebay for $109. Free shipping from CA so whatever... If it lasts the two years they will be cheaper then for replacement. Now the challenge is how to mount it to the roof bars since I don't have a rack...... Got a smaller one on the brush bar in frontso might take the bar mounts and see what I can Fab for the roof
