Default new tires

i am getting new tires, and am considering getting 265/70/16 BFGoodrich M/T KM2's. i was just curious if there were tires that anyone could suggest that would work out better for me. i live in south eastern idaho and only use my landy for minimal off-roading. i am a high school student and use it mostly in town. any suggestions? also if i get that size of tires with a 2" body lift, what kind of trimming will i have to do to my disco?

With a 2" lift, not a body lift, you can fit those tires with little or no adjustment. Don't go running off road with them unless you replace your suspension first, your truck will be too top heavy and cut your side walls.
That tire, by the way is really cool.

Old Man Emu is probably the most recommended on this forum. If you plan on adding a roof rack or HD bumpers or anything to add more weight get HD springs and shocks from them. You can get a full setup at Expedition Exchange for a little over $600.

thanks for your help. i looked at expedition exchange and i couldnt find any that give you any lift for the front. the 761 Front Medium-Duty Springs are the only ones that i could find that give the front any lift and that was only on the disco 2, and it was only 1". i was thinking 781 Rear Heavy/Medium-Duty Springs for the back which give 3"s but i cant find any for the front. anywhere else i can look?

Discolvr I'm going with 751s up front and 762s in the rear. That's a heavy duty setup (I'm adding bumpers and a roof rack) with a 2" lift. If you want a lighter weight setup you could go with 761 up front and 781 in the rear, which will still give you a 2" lift. Does that help at all?

Scroll down to the bottom of this page for more info on that. Do you need help with shocks as well?

For shocks I'd go with N115 and N44s. They're rated for HD loads and regular loads so they will ride fine whether you've added a bumper or roof rack or not.

You can find a similar write up here

Talked to a guy running that setup with no lift at all.

Mike, what do you mean by...

your suspension first, your truck will be too top heavy and cut your side walls.
