Ok. if i get a 2" ome, what would be the best tire size that would match a 1990 rover classic.( stock rims 16x7) this is a ranch truck for me..so it will be in sand... fine deep south texas sand.. alot like the gulf cost sand just no water for miles and miles... and i would hate to think of haveing to drive around all the time with low presser tires..( or flat tires)..Been doing this for as long as i can remenber..just sux sometimes..you know. it would be nice to find tire that works with out haveing to take out all most all the air..

 

Sounds like you would be better off with a bigger foot print and strong side walls.
My choice would be the BFG MT in a 265/75/16 with their 3 ply side wall and great traction.
I have been running this tire for nearly 100,000 mile out of 2 sets, they last well, have great traction and just keep going.
That size will also fit well and look good on your truck.
Let me know if you need a good site to buy those OME's from, and make sure you look more towards the HD springs.

 

Yes please..I would love to know of a good site for the OME..Silly me I tried to find some place here in San Antonio, but found nothing but people trying to screw me. It ranged from $1,500 to $4,000, and that's only for parts and not installation. Speaking of which, would it be hard to install the parts myself, or would I have to get a professional to do it. Is the heavy duty 2" OME worth pursuing or should I just get bigger tires? Will the tires alone get me the lift and ride that I want for the sand? Or if I get both will I have to modify the fenders? I am new to this so I am not sure what to do. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

Being primarily a ranch truck and wanting it to be able to handle whatever gets in it's way, the 265's are great, the 2" lift is a much for clearance as well as the extra control on hard roads.
Call Tony at Cerrones, 650-365-4145, tell him you and I have been talking and ask him yor the correct part numbers for the HD coil springs and shocks. He usually has them in stock and his prices are great, around $70 a spring, $75 a piece for the shocks and $69 for the steering stabilizer.
If you have a friend that is a little mechanical, two of you can put the suspension on in about 2 to 3 hours.

Guess I'm going to have to get a few 6 packs togetter as well, a friend that is a little mechanical..?! usually turnes in to a all nighter..Oh it'll get done in 2 to 3 hours, but still going to be a all nighter with 10 to 15 guy standing around asking "You done Yet.. lets light this puppy and see what she can do" anyway, soon as i get everything, I'll post befor and after pic.
