Default range rover brush on a D2

We were scouting a pull-it yard today and came across an 87 Range Rover with the brush guard still attached. Would it fit a D2, if not, why not? Are the frame widths different? Did not have a chance to do any measuring. Did not take a picture but it is the type with the two rubber uprights in the center. We are going back tomorrow, the price is really good.

It may physically fit on the rails but the shape is different and wont be airbag compliant.
