Default Rear Tire Carrier CB Antenna Mount

Does anyone know where I can find step by step instructions and a parts list needed to mount a CB antenna on my rear tire carrier? I understand that this is the best place for it but I need a lot of guidance. As my user name suggests, I'm new to this game. Thanks in advance for your help.

The best mounting place for the antenna is a roof mount like a Wilson 1000 that can take advantage if the solid steel roof for improved signal strength.
The next best, and very popular spot is from the spare.
There are a number of after market mounts available thru the cb or Radio Shack type stores. Once mounted to the carrier and depending on the type of distance and country you want to talk over the a 3 or 4 foot Firestick antenna with a quick disconnect would be best.
If you want some installation ideas, PM me your tele number and I will be glad to help.

I actually put mine on the rear ladder and wired it under neath the passenger tail light assembly through a rubber gromet in that compartment. Clean look.

Mine's on the tire carrier. It was really simple, the antenna I bought came with a little 90 degree angle bracket, and predrilled holes w/ screws, so I just made 4 matching holes in the tire carrier and stuck it right there. I wired it in the same place as Kosho. Looks very nice behind the tire.

Default CB mount??

I'll been thinking of getting a Freelander wheel mount and attach the ariel to the brake light arm possibly, This is just a thought so don't take it as tried and tested lol. See this link off ebay to give you a better idea.

I have a CB mount I'll sell. It bolts on to the spare carrier and the arm extends around the back of the tire to a more easily accesible spot. I custom made this for my truck and would still be running it if I hadn't bought a swing away tire carrier. $20 shipped.

You can see it mounted in this pic.

How about a mount that fits in place of the rear bumper trim piece that pops off all the time? That would be out of the way of the door and airflow.
