shocks and tires defender 90 td5

Question my driving my 2003 defender 100% on road (tarmac ) so no offroading
which shocks should I use to get the most comfort ride and which which tires (and what wheels) should I combine this, should i use spacers ?
otherideas for modification are very welcome
