Alpine windows are pointless …. So has anybody fitted solar panels in them to keep the thing charged up?

I live in uk and there is no Alps here. Not interested in looking at vapour trails and don’t ever sit in the back unless I’m incapable.

The thing gets used infrequently or for short trips for obvious reasons. The factory fitted battery has just been replaced after 20 yrs. new one is struggling ….

Solution 1 - adapt the trailer power output to accept a charger. PIA

Solution 2 - Set up a solar trickle charger, plenty of roof.

We don’t want any more holes in the roof. So there is the Alpine windows or the “sun roof”… we don’t get much sun, when we do it’s a delight, don’t want it obscured but it really only functions 1 month in 22…pointless.

so, come on, flexible solar is available. Anyone done it?

Alternatively, anyone fired lifi battery? What are the mods required?
