A/T Tires
I am looking for new tires to improve my off road ability. I have a stock disco 1 1998. My question is: how big can i go without rubbing? And does anyone know a good size tire for the disco 1? All terrains are what i am going for. I will eventually get a lift, but thats farther down the road.

So finally i actually bought these tires. You gotta listen to this deal before you judge: I went with 255/70/16 Pirelli scorpion a/t's. They dont have as aggressive tread as BFG's, but i got all 4 with an alignment for under 600 bucks. I am gonna go pick up the car in an hour or so, and i will follow up with pics.

So we got good news and bad news, good news is the new tires handle and perform excellent! The bad news is that they rub when the steering wheel locks over to one side. (i knew there was a good chance of this happening). Anyway, how do i fix rubbing? it doesn't look like it is hitting against the outer body of the car, it seems like it is rubbing against the side wall. Is there any trimming to be done there? Solutions?
