Default Upgrade

I have a 99 LR Disco I and i love it! the only thing i want to change is the body a bit...I would like to put the 2003-2004 Disco II grille and headlights as well as the new door handles and tail lights. Is this possible? I have read that the headlights require some metal cutting which is fine but i also read that that grille won't fit my car is there a way to alter the front end so that it will? the tail lights look like a matter of taking of the back panels and the door handles? i have no idea there... My boyfriend is very good at anything car related and he says he can do it with the right instructions... any help would be great!

I'm kinda new at this also, but from what I understand, the Series I and Series II Discos are completely incompatible. The only panel on either truck that will interchange is the rear hatch door skin. Other than that, totally different. If you had a '99 Series II, no prob. Series I, I don't think you'll find any instructions per se. If you're dead set on going forward with this, you're gonna have to do a lot of custom fabricating to make it work.

From what I understand the headlights are an extremely expensive swap. don't quote me on that though.

It is a much bigger job to swap 03-04 headlights in a Disco1 then a 00-02 Disco2. I have seen pictures of it done in a magazine, the write up on it said the hood and front fenders were also swaped from a Disco2.

You'd probably come out cheaper in the long run buying an '03 or '04. Sell your Series I and buy one of those year models. I picked up my '03 with 110k on the clock for less than 7k.
