I recently added the LR Discovery to my list of potential 7 seater luxury SUV's to purchase. I have come across decent deals for 2017 or 2018 pre-owned models. So I was wondering what would be more worth while to purchase. 2017 HSE or 1 2018 SE? I noted that in 2018 the SE now has more standard features, but I am unclear whether a 2017 HSE still has more options. Looking at diesel models by the way.

 

Depends how the SE and HSE are actually specced and which matches your list of must haves, color, mileage etc.
That said I’m surprised they’d both be worth the same.
Although it depends on the actual options on the face of I’d prefer the newer vehicle. Unless it was a poverty optioned 2018 SE vs a high optioned 2017 HSE at which point I want the stuff.
Again, assuming the mileage isn’t a lot higher on the older one.

 

Certified Pre-owned Land Rovers come with a minimum 5 year and/or 100,000-mile warranty. You can extend the warranty to 7 years for a price (same 100,000-miles). You can shop the Land Rover national website for vehicles in your area (within 500 miles or more).

Some SE models can come with over $10,0000 dollars worth of options. You really need to compare options. Do a VIN lookup and it should show all the options that came from the factory.

I own a 2020 Discovery 5 and absolutely love this vehicle. This is my 4th Land Rover and by far Discovery 5 is my favorite. Good luck!
