The manual says basic weight = 4751 lbs.
I believe basic weight (kerb weight or curb weight ) includes 1 PAX (165lbs) and a full tank of petrol.

I weighed my D5 on truck scales with 1 PAX (me=200lbs) and a full tank of petrol and got 5720 lbs.

Anyone have any experience/understanding of similar?

Maybe that’s a base spec model which presumably is lighter?

 

Coesn't sound right. D5 is much lighter than LR3 which was in mid 5K weight range. I can't recall exactly.
D5 should be in high 4K range. I wonder about that scale you used.

 

Yes. Curb weight is around 4800lbs. That's as factory specs, unladen. With a tank of gas but zero people.

Add in just a driver and some misc stuff in the truck and you're prob looking at 5100 or 5200lbs

Your scale sounds off. My guess is truck scales are calibrated for much much heavier loads and doesn't read accurately for this weight.

 

Guess what:
I just weighed my 2017 D5 Si6 at the landscape scale. 5720 pounds with just me (165 pounds), about 2 gallons less than full gas, no roof rack, no cargo, just a few assorted tools and tow strap.
My tires might be a couple pounds heavier than factory tires.

 

So strange. Seems like it understates weight by 500lbs. Or - everyone's scales are misreading.

 

From what I could find, curb weight is without passengers or fuel.
Add about 175 pounds of fuel and 175 for a driver plus 100 pounds of misc. stuff to a 4860 curb weight and it's still only about 5300 pounds.
Not sure why we are weighing in at 5700.
