Default 2018 issues/questions

Anybody's hood not opening?
Anybody have clunk in rear end when starting off, especially when turning at same time? (definitely rear end, nothing to do with steering)
Anybody get update to Nav and now have tiny tiny little icons that you can't read? It was fine when i first got it.
Anybody have coolant low warning popping up?

Got a 2019 and the hood has become an issue to open in the last few months (didn't really check in a while, but was fine in June when I took it for it's first service).

Not noticed the other issues you mention.

Hood is a cable adjustment. Pretty common.

Here is the list on mine... 2018 D5 HSE Lux TD6.
FOB no detected issue - finally corrected.
Front Windshield Replaced as it leaked.
Engine had to be rebuilt at 5K for valve cover leak....teardown and rebuild.
Headliner fell out while driving...had to be replaced (2 months to get to dealership)
Cover for battery came from factory without locking mechanism
D-piller fell off and body panel was cracked at initial delivery.
Wheel well guards would not stay secured...came broken from the factory.
Countless electronic issue with the InControl Touch Pro issues. Still will not work with SOTA.
Still have a horrible rattle in passenger side 2nd row. Drive around with that seat down. Dealer requested under warranty to replace and LR denied.
Driver's side seat belt on C pillar rattles (worked on 3 times).
Dealer has taken the dash apart so many times it will now sounds like a vehicle with 100K on it.
Had to pull off the interior on drivers door for non-secured parts .... window stopped working because of the issue.
Purchased the vehicle on 10/31 last year and its spend 18 weeks in the shop.

NC lemon laws do not apply until the same item happens 3 times in a row
LR does not feel that these issue with this vehicle requires a buyback.
I work out of my vehicle....its embarrassing. Miss my Defender...it was more reliable.

I feel very fortunate...I had a bad shock when I first got it last Oct. but other than a couple of little things mine has been flawless...

Holy ****. That sucks. Still waiting for someone to tell me why land rover can’t build reliable vehicles.

also, why would an engine have to be rebuilt for valve cover leak? Unless you just mean replacing valve cover gasket and new valve covers. That’s not really a “rebuild”...just a few hours job.

I also had a clunk in the back. At first thought it was the spare wheel knocking about. I checked that and it was secure. Went through everything. Eventually I found that someone had not put the jack and tools in the correct spot and with them being held in place with a rubber strap, they would move around and cause the clunking sound when they hit the body. I have no idea why LR would use this rubber thing rather than a good old nylon strap.
