2019 Disco V better than 2018 model year?

So I've been looking for awhile and test drove a number of used HSE/HSE Luxury disco's. One thing that I have noticed, without fail, is that the 2019 MY have always rode better, have had less issues, and overall just feel more refined. Obviously low hanging fruit is that it's one year newer, but is this a known fact that the 2018 MY had more issues vs 2019? I feel like every 2018 I've seen including CPO have had a handful of defects and overall haven't driven as well. I have a deposit on a 2019 HSE Lux that is fully loaded, but am paying a premium so just wanted to make sure that my thought process is correct here and I'm not paying up for nothing. Thank you!

Can't help you on the 2018 vs 2019
but,
when I drove across Colorado to test drive a 2017 CPO I really didn't like the way it drove, accelerated, performed, etc.
and I ended up buying a different 2017 CPO from the same dealer that drove perfectly and completely different than the first one.
Not sure why, but maybe the transmission had learned something differently from the history of each.
I really doubt there would be any difference between 2018 and 2019 if they both have the same engine and air suspension, tires, etc.
