Acc retrofit
Hi, I would like to install ACC on my 2018 discovery 5. Does anyone know if the cable is fitted? I've tried with my hand under the bumper, but it looks like there is no cable at the sensor location.
I've looked for the connector on mine as well with the intention of retrofitting ACC. I spent a lot of time combing through parts diagrams at Scuderia and can't conclusively say where the connector comes from. I'm pretty sure it's part of the engine bay harness since you can remove the bumper and its harness and leave the ACC module in place. There just aren't a lot of variants that I can find. It's possible the connector and harness is tucked away behind a plastic panel rather than clipped where the module mounts.
You’ll need to remove the bumper to see if you have the harness in place, it should be clipped inside the crash beam where the ACC sensor with a dummy plug would be. If it’s there then all you need is the ACC sensor (2017 L462 sensor is different so make sure it’s for 2018+), steering wheel controls (I have one I could sell you), and Gap tool to change the CCF’s (I can point you to a thread or check out Gap website). Once all fitted then you’ll need to calibrate the system which is easy.
I did exactly this on my L405, it worked great.

Hi, I'm taking the front bumper off next week. I need to replace the parking sensor. I'll see if the bundle's there. I looked up that the cable for the ACC is part of the cable for the parking sensors. You have to buy the whole harness depending on the number of pdc's equipped.
The harness for the parking sensors and front camera are one harness. The ACC harness is separate and stays attached to the front reinforcement beam when the bumper cover is removed. I suspect the ACC harness is part of the engine bay harness. I had looked a while back for a "repair" harness for the ACC, but never found anything. I'm not sure where the other end of it would even go.
