Default Adding in ATPC Possible?

Looking at D5s right now, upgrading from a LR3. My issue is I want everything and a bag of chips and it seems difficult to find the right vehicle (I found it, but then on carfax check, turned out to be a lemon buy back!!).

One thing I REALLY want in a D5 is ATPC. I'm looking at it and I'm wondering if I can replace the entire switch module on the center console and then reprogram the ECU to get ATPC. This would significantly help in my search for a vehicle. Has anyone else looked into such a change over or asked about it?

All Terrain Progress Control

Basically a set it and forget it for going up steep inclines. Like the inverse of Hill Decent Control.

It's not included if you have the rear locker? I've seen it on my controls but haven't used it.

Mine doesn't have the rear locker, just center with the low range transfer case. My module has the long HDC button, whereas if it had ATPC, the ATPC button would be on top, with the HDC button underneath it. I know with Toyotas (Lexus) you can add the crawl control module, reset the PCM, then it sees the crawl control module and Bob's your uncle, so to speak. I wonder if our Disco is similar.

Yes! It is possible. I've done it on mine exactly the way you describe. Getting to the switch module to replace it is a lot of work, but once that's done it can be enabled with the GAP tool. I've been meaning to update my GAP activations thread for a while. I didn't add this one initially since it required the module swap too.

How did you get your hands on a module?
Thanks for any advice you can provide

All things can be had from ebay. HPLA-14B596-BC works for the 2017-2020 D5. This also has the auto terrain response indicator on the selector ****. Auto TR isn't quite working for me yet since the computer doesn't recognize the three accelerometers in the front and rear. Life has been busy so I haven't had a chance to look if they're even installed from the factory.

I have been searching to see if this is possible.!
I have a 2017, HSE Lux. I have the Terrain Response 2, so I have the "auto" option. I also have the rear locking diff, bit don't have the ATPC. I had hoped that it would be as simple as replacing the controls in the centre console and enabling the feature with the GAP tool.
If I am reading this correctly, I should be able to get this working, is that right.
